1971 K-10 shortbox conversion

Description

This 1971 Chevy K10 started life out as a long box but we cut the frame down and converted it to a shortbox. This is just one of several shortbox conversion that we’ve done

Details

This 1971 K10 was a long box that we shorted after completetion you’ll never be able to tell. It still has its original 10 bolt front end and GM 12 bolt rear end and NP 205 transfer case but the engine and transmission is being updated to a modern day LS 3 6.2 L with a 4L70E transmission. We also installed a dirty dingo front cross member with adjustable engine mounts. The color we went with is a period correct Lemans Blue this hue favors the blue side but has a hint of green to it on the flop. The white is call Linen white it has just a splash of yellow and black in it but is one of the purist white GM has. In the pics above you’ll see we smoothed the factory location where  the heater box was because we are installing Vintage Air in this cab.
